ALTR
The ALTR Table Lamp, designed for the 2016 Make Something exhibition in collaboration with Richard Unsworth (graphic designer).
A means to capture the most creative thoughts of the day in a minimal form that maximises available surface space.
Brass is paired with white marble, the classic elegance of both materials enhanced through their basic forms. The linear brass arm housing the light balances perpendicular to the marble, creating a tension between the materials. A stand crafted from folded brass is affixed to the marble base to hold a notebook or iPhone.
An exploration in design of where elegance meets form and function.
