Dentsu Aegis Network NZ
Dentsu Aegis Network, a global media group, consisting of 7 different but complimentary companies in their NZ Office. The brief called to create an inspiring and forward thinking office that encouraged cross-pollination of ideas, transparency and dialogue across the 7 companies, whilst maintaining the overall Dentsu Aegis Network brand.
The design concept introduced a unifying central structure along the spine of each floor, acting as a 3 dimensional form linking the brands together through solidity and transparency. These forms encapsulate the communal meeting areas and company board rooms, being essentially glass boxes encased by a screen consisting of parallel white fins that both enclose and reveal the inhabitants through movement across the structure. Openness and communication within the company is enabled through users being simultaneously seen and unseen. The transparency of these materials further encourages the diffusion of natural light into the communal break-out and socialising spaces beyond. These spaces are also semi-encased by the screen, yet are defined by a subtle palette with pastel tones and softer textures, creating a more intimate, less formal feel.
