Milk Orthodontics II
A playful interpretation of the orthodontic experience visualised as architecture. The themes, materials and forms explored in the original Milk (2018) are explored and elaborated. This playful environment was envisaged as a deconstructed open mouth, featuring toothbrush-like striations which encapsulate curved exterior forms and partitions between clinic areas. Light boxes emanating soft white light illuminate and define treatment areas, softened by sheer curtains, providing essential privacy and evoking a sense of calmness. The futuristic neon of the exterior signage is echoed along interior light tracks, which combined with a reduced palette reminiscent of orthodontic devices reference the high-tech, meticulous field of orthodontic practice.
